Is that drive dying?

My Solaris messages log suddenly is full of errors.. Seems like a drive is dying. At least, that is what smartd seems to be reporting:

Feb 14 03:34:23 nas smartd[6909]: [ID 702911 daemon.crit] Device: /dev/rdsk/c7t6d0s0 [SAT], 10 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors
Feb 14 03:34:23 nas smartd[6909]: [ID 702911 daemon.crit] Device: /dev/rdsk/c7t6d0s0 [SAT], 5 Offline uncorrectable sectors

However, smartctl disagrees.

./smartctl -a /dev/rdsk/c7t6d0

=== START OF READ SMART DATA SECTION ===
SMART overall-health self-assessment test result: PASSED

And iostat doesn't seem to mind either:

root@nas:/opt/csw/sbin# iostat -E sd12
sd12 Soft Errors: 3 Hard Errors: 0 Transport Errors: 0
Vendor: ATA Product: WDC WD20EARS-00M Revision: AB51 Serial No: WD-WCAZA7310157

Media Error: 0 Device Not Ready: 0 No Device: 0 Recoverable: 3

I guess we'll see in the next few days.
